Portland LEGO Camps

Summer Break LEGO Camp!

Your kids love LEGO already! Now ramp up their imagination and creativity with a whole week of Spring LEGO Camp! Our LEGO classes focus on building techniques to create stronger, more aesthetically pleasing creations. Expand their thinking!

Does your child already build pretty incredible stuff? We’ll present new techniques and tricks so there's plenty to learn. We focus on structural integrity and color integration with a little bit of art, math and engineering thrown in. (This is not a robotics or MindStorms class.) Yet it’s all presented in a fun filled stimulating format. No prior experience required. Individual student direction is tailored to each child’s level.

In order to provide a high level of instruction these workshops are for ages 9-12 only. Three adults supervise at all times to insure each child has plenty of hands on help. Parents are welcome to stay and observe or drop off their child for pick up at the end of class. Plan to arrive ON TIME and stay for 5-10 minutes on the first day for a brief orientation.

Please feel free to provide your student with a water bottle and/or snack if needed. Please no greasy, crumbly or messy snacks, they gum up the LEGOs! We'll have a couple of bathroom and brain breaks throughout the session. This is an incredible opportunity for your child to refine fine motor skills and have a blast doing it! Students will receive a certificate of completion and other bonuses at the end of class on Friday.

Instructor: Brian D'Agostine

Brian is an award winning LEGO artist with several completed commissions in the Portland area. Brian was featured as a LEGO artist in the Willamette Week, on KPTV, KPAM radio and OPB. His 1:1000 scale model recreation of downtown Portland is the delightful product of years of practice and discovery. His most recent creation, a full size wearable LEGO dress caught plenty of media attention. His training and career background in architectural design gives him a LEGO building edge. Brian also teaches LEGO classes as an after school program at Lent School for PPS and he’s been actively involved in the PTA for several years. His three kids enjoy building LEGO with dad.
